In this section, I will attempt to address some of the common questions and issues that you may have while browsing the Advanced-Infrastructure.com community website.

The purpose of this discussion is to provide a dedicated forum for engineers, infrastructure managers,public officials and policy makers to share with the Advanced-Infrastructure community a little about the day-to-day challenges they face in their work. These professionals may not know it, but the very answer to their questions may already be under development in some university research lab. this discussion may be used by researchers to help them discover valuable new real-world ideas and practical engineering insight that they might not receive in the classroom or research lab.

In order to meet the civil engineering and infrastructure-related challenges of the 21st century, we are going to have to work together to come up with innovative ideas and feasible solution that best leverage the information technology capabilities that are accessible to us. This discussion was created for exactly that purpose. Feel free to use this space to explore new ideas, solicit insight from others, or similarly bounce your off of other users. Be creative in your thinking, and do not be afraid to voice ideas that may seem a little crazy. The potential of advanced infrastructure applications in the future is nearly limitless, and some day someone may just invent exactly what you envisioned.

Although this site is not intended to attract full-time employment recruiters and desperate job seekers, I do think there is value in providing a way for professionals in the industry sector - engineers, infrastructure managers, public official and policy-makers - to actively seek out technical assistance for advanced infrastructure projects.
